Meet Kelly Hoag

What kind of classes do you teach? I am a Behavioral Health Advisor.

I work 1:1 with clients who want to create sustainable habit changes to become the best versions of themselves. Often we know how to eat, how to exercise and what the perfect morning routine looks like but we can't get ourselves there. We end up eating really healthy all day and overreating dessert, or setting the alarm for the gym but snoozing more than we'd like to admit. There are ways to have a routine that's entirely sustainable and exciting that works for you and your body to allow you to feel your best.

Where were you raised and where do you currently live? Age, if ok. I was born and raised in New York and currently live in West Hollywood.

What motivates you to get up in the morning? That my job is a harmonious blend of my two passions - behavior and health.

I am so excited to wake up and begin the day connecting with clients and with potential clients to help them cultivate the life that helps them feel their absolute best. Also, living in a place that's always sunny and being able to go for a morning walk and move my body first thing really motivates me.

Is there a book you’re reading right now? I'm trying my best to get through Infinite Jest, but my favorite book of all time is A Little Life. I love reading fiction, but listening to non-fiction.

If you could only do two workouts a week, what would it be? Cyclehouse and Training Mate. These are two fitness studios in LA that I LOVE! I really need to sweat and feel the burn and both of these studios give me just that. Plus, they're super fun!

Is there a teacher that you love learning from? I love learning from so many different teachers but I sometimes feel like yoga is my greatest teacher. It teaches me about life, about my body, about my mindset, about humanity. I love yoga and it's vital to my mental and physical health. My favorite studio is Sky Ting in New York and Love Yoga in LA.

What is your favorite way to spend a day outdoors? My ideal outdoorsy day would start with a hike to get my body moving, and then be followed by the beach. The ocean allows me to let go of all of my anxieties, my worries, my stress and just breathe. I feel so connected to it and grateful to live so close.

Are there any charities you support? I work with the Global Autism Project. My behavior journey began by working with children with autism, and I truly believe in and support the work that the Global Autism Project is doing. I also volunteer with the Movemeant foundation which empowers young girls through dance and movement.

Last, what is in your gym bag?Face wipes, air pods, hand sanitizer and a water bottle. Those are my must-haves!
