Meet Celine Wallace

What kind of classes do you teach?

I’ve been athletic my entire life, so it was a natural evolution for me to start teaching classes. I eventually began easing into my fitness career as a supplementary income when I first moved to LA to pursue my dreams of being an Actor. I became obsessed with LaGree and Stott Pilates, which due to the nature of my industry in entertainment I was lucky to begin teaching to celebrity clients, that I was fortunate enough to build an reputation with and amazing client base.  As I expanded my practices I began to fall in love with yoga, first as my personal practice because Pilates had begun to feel like work, but now I now teach Yoga and Pilates classes in internationally and have founded a company called Sattva Soul, which is a transformational Yoga/Pilates women’s retreat company that hosts events and retreats around the world.

Where were you raised and where do you currently live? Age, if ok.

I was born in New Zealand and live in Los Angeles. As of this past year I currently I live both since I’ve been hosting some of my women’s events and retreats in my motherland.

What motivates you to get up in the morning?

The knowledge that this day, this 24hrs, I am about to experience has never happened before and will never happen again. That everyday is a fresh beginning, a gift full of surprises and new experiences. When I’m having days that I’m less excited about what’s on, then I make sure to journal how I’m feeling so I can identify what is coming up, because after all the resistance is coming up so it can be ‘highlighted’ so it can be ‘deleted’. I also gratitude journal 10 things I’m grateful for every morning and make sure I do this after meditation, acknowledging life’s little blessings always gives me motivation to get out of bed.

Is there a book you’re reading right now?

I love reading so I’m always reading a couple of books. This week I’m reading Elon Musk’s biography and The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson. Both recommended reads for anyone looking for add a new read to their book list.

If you could only do two workouts a week, what would it be?

Running and yoga or Pilates, obviously haha

Is there a teacher that you love learning from?

I don’t think there is any one teacher that is better than the other. I think every teacher has qualities that you either identify with and want to implement into your practice or you take their ‘styles’ as a lesson that that’s not how you want to conduct yourself with your students or yourself haha...I know we’ve all met both wonderful and horrific teachers so to sum up I think learning from both is important.

What is your favorite way to spend a day outdoors?

I grew up in the natural wonderland of New Zealand so I’m a nature baby by default, so swimming in the ocean is my ideal day or hiking in the forest, hopefully finishing off the hike with a swim in the ocean - the best of both worlds!

Are there any charities you support?

Because of my previous career in entertainment I felt called and spent a lot of time volunteering with The Young Storytellers Foundation; which mentors young children and encourages their creative pursuits in low decile school districts that don’t offer creative arts. I think it’s really important to nurture children in ways that encourage them to grow and flourish with the concept that if they can dream it they can do it.

Where can we find you teaching classes?

Currently I my private celebrity clients or am traveling hosting my women’s events and retreats so you can find out where I will be hosting retreats through my company www.Sattvasoulretreats.com or on social media @sattvasoulretreats
