Meet Holly Holton

What kind of classes do you teach?

Every class at Burn Babe includes HIIT training methods and cardiovascular conditioning for ultimate calorie burn. In our signature class, we focus on toning and strengthening all the major muscles groups!

Where were you raised and where do you currently live? Age, if ok.

I was raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana - small town Southern girl :)

I currently live in West Hollywood, CA

34 years old

What motivates you to get up in the morning?

Every morning I try to take 20 minutes to sit outside and meditate and align myself for my day ahead.  After this practice, I feel so much more focused, clear, and ready to tackle my day and anything that it may hold.  I also get excited to get to Burn Babe and coach our members through our class.  They are a constant inspiration to me and I just love the energy the girls bring to the gym and my life in general.  I love being around people so being in an environment that I get to meet new ladies each day and feel their excitement and energy grow towards health and fitness is the ultimate "happy place" for me!

Is there a book you’re reading right now?

I am currently reading "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle and "Ask and It is Given" by Esther and Jerry Hicks

If you could only do two workouts a week, what would it be?

I would do my Burn Babe HIIT class and hot yoga - my favorite studio is Modo Yoga on La Brea

Is there a teacher that you love learning from?

I love going to new studios and gaining new insights from so many different instructors.  One teacher who's energy and passion inspires me is Erik Steffens from Barry's Bootcamp Hollywood.  I love the peacefulness and mindfulness that I gain in Tej's Kundalini Yoga class at Nine Treasures Yoga.  I leave her class feeling so uplifted and with much greater clarity in my life path.

What is your favorite way to spend a day outdoors?

I LOVE going out to the old muscle beach in Santa Monica and playing on the bars and the rings.  There are acrobats that are out there every day and it is so inspiring and amazing to watch the things these people can do.  Just being out there has taught me so much about movement and the body.  It's fun to get on the rings and try new tricks.  Everyone there will help to teach you and they don't want anything from it, they just love watching others learn and get truly excited when novices get better.  It's just such a rad place with rad people and is my idea of a perfect California beach day.

Are there any charities you support?

We have always supported the Stand Up to Cancer foundation- raising money for awareness and research.

Where can we find you teaching classes?

I teach classes almost daily at my studio Burn Babe on Melrose Avenue! This studio is created for women by women and it's so fun to be on Melrose, the energy on this street is electric!

7366 Melrose Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90046

Last, what is in your gym bag?

I always have a Larabar just in case I need a snack.  Headphones if I find a few minutes in the day to go get in a quick Runyan Canyon hike, my daily planner, a million hair ties, and usually the book I am reading :)
